According to massively taikodom is coming to north america.

You can play it currently in its own locale. However I am guessing they will do a nice job of the english translation for america.

If you want to sign up for north america you can here

If you want to try out the original you can on their taikodom.com site.

What is an outpost?
An outpost is like a space station. There is different things they do that depends on their level (1-5). A basic feature is they allow storage.

What types of outpost are there?
3 types, habitate, military and industrial.

How do I get one?

In order to purchase one, the corporation CEO must choose an available Outpost, dock in it, and contact James Alfred, a NPC who will guide the purchasing process.

How often do I have to pay upkeep?
Every 30 days. Any member can pay.

If I don’t pay what happens?
You have 15 more days to pay then you lose the outpost. The outpost goes back to level 1 and you also lose any items stored there.

How many can a corporation have?

Each corporation is allowed to have a maximum of five Outposts.

When can I buy one that someone else has?

Any corporation may buy the already purchased Outposts that become available due to abandonment by a corp or default in maintenance payment. To do so, the CEO must contact James Alfred and follow the required steps.

Outposts are released from time to time for clans to claim.

You can also see the thread on outposts in the forum if you can read portuguese.

Taikodom has a book out based on its lore. Its called Eterno Retorno.

There was a book signing event for its release.

Taikodom has been making steady balancing releases and features. Player created corporations are in the game (compared to when I started).

Taikodom has a nice one year anniversary post up.
Take a look if you are interested in this game.

For Hoplon and the players, this year of commercial operation of Taikodom was filled with improvements and news related to making the game even more fun. Several updates in the game enhanced its stability and playability; and even some game mechanics aspects, such as balancing of weapons and ships, were altered, resulting in positive reactions. Some of the changes were determined by the players themselves in the official forum and blog.

If you have not tried this game, do so. Its a lot of fun, even when the translation isn’t quite there yet.

I downloaded the 14 day trial for Eve Online. I like Taikodom and all the posts at West Karana is breaking me. I want to try it and see if I like it.

I tried Everquest two a while ago on  14 day trial. Lots to like but nothing that made me sign up over the free to play games I’ve been spending my time on.

I’m also hoping through making an effort to broaden my horizons and try lots of different games that I will learn more about how games work in general.

Mmm free music.

World of Goo Soundtrack

Some other games like Rohan and Taikodom also give you their soundtrack when you download the game. Just check the music folder in the game folder.

I’ve tried this game.
The cutscenes are not translated but the quests are.
I have a little mining ship and have flown around mining things.
