Those are words being translated for everyone to be able to read.
Press space to open your chat, then press tab. You will see a menu appear. That lets you use prepared sentences and words in a format anyone can read. So no need for others to google your words.
This is needed if you want to try to sell and item, get a teleport or repair
Some leve pictures have a silver plated border instead of bronze, like the dodo one in ul’dah. Those are considerably harder than the normal bronze ones.
Stick to the bronze ones at first and make sure that you are in the correct job level range.
FFXIV: New player help

on:For the totally lost. Here are some places to get help answering those questions
Read Eorzeapedia for advise from other players. beyondvanadiel is also very helpful. FFXIV core is maybe the best forum out there.
I can not stress enough how helpful these forums are for getting help, direction and locating other players!
You can search for items on Zam.
With the lodestone you can check yourself up and check other players.
Also join a linkshell and talk to all the other players you meet.
Am I the only one that’s finding the difficulty is rather addictive? The challenge of trying to figure out what to do and how to do it is rather good at the moment.
W2b shield though.
Just wanted to point to this

DDO: European players are still hanging in Limbo
It has dropped a little off the radar, so let’s catch up with how the transfer of European DDO accounts from Codemasters to Turbine is going.
Essentially, it isn’t.
On August 19th, 2010, the European Dungeons and Dragons Online servers were shut down, meaning that the characters that European players have been playing since launch were lost to us. We are still waiting for our characters to be transferred, as promised, to the US servers.
I think I have said several times I don’t like how codemaster treats their players and how they support lotro. However from this, it looks like turbine is not very interested in the players of european servers* either.
*because everyone knows that the south africian’s can sometimes outnumber the swedes in lotro/wow/dnd in europe, so no point not mentioning them.

on:My monk/mesmer has gone through Weh no Su and hit level 20. One of my friends has prophecies and another has factions. So I now will have two max level characters that can come along and help.
Guild Wars: Weh no Su
Posted August 23, 2010
on:My Monk/Memser is now just before the Weh no Su. I have finished the Weh no Su previously on my Warrior so it will be my second time through it.
My monk is level 18 and I am making an effort to get her good amour, weapons and some heroes before she does the trial to become closer to the stars.

on:With it being busy at the moment I have not had a lot of time to play.
I have managed to get a monk/mesmer in guild wars to level 14. She is in Jaya Bluff and just did the rite of valor.
I was doing more missions on my warrior/monk. I lost Koss and recovered him.
